Create an account on POINT at app.pointapp.org . This is where volunteers sign up for events. Be sure to “Join” The Buddy Holly Hall on POINT to get access. Complete a background check through the Lubbock Independent School District (Lubbock ISD) . Due to our affiliation with Lubbock ISD, volunteers are required to complete a background check. You must provide the background check approval to the Patron Experience Manager by email or physical printout. All information and paperwork are kept confidential. Attend a Volunteer Orientation. The Buddy Holly Hall hosts quarterly group sessions throughout the year. Interested volunteers will be able to sign up for these on POINT. Unable to attend? Volunteer Usher Program - The Buddy Holly Hall

Our team of Volunteer Ushers plays a special role and is essential to creating amazing experiences at The Buddy Holly Hall. Volunteer Ushers help with events, take tickets, assist patrons to their seats, and provide excellent customer service.

Volunteering is a great opportunity to make friends, see performances, and get involved in the Lubbock arts community.

As a lifelong supporter of the arts and a big believer in volunteerism, I was so excited to get involved with the Volunteer Usher Program at BHH. For what I give, the benefits are so much greater. I get to welcome patrons to this beautiful hall, experience all types of performing arts that I may not have been able to otherwise, and support the arts community in Lubbock. I truly love this opportunity.

BHH Volunteer Sign Up Instructions

Be at least 18 years old
Be able to stand for extended periods of time*
Be able to see and read small print in low lighting*
Work at least one (1) event per month

*If you require the use of a wheelchair, have physical limitations, or require other reasonable accommodation, contact the Patron Experience Manager to discuss volunteer positions that can suit your needs.

Volunteers work events during the evenings and weekends. Shifts are typically three to four hours long, starting one and a half hours before show time.
